Don’t lie- The Mantles

I was reading THIS this morning from Hipster Runoff and feeling a lil uneasy.  Maybe I (and all of us) are schmucks? Well in fact, yes, no one needs to tell me.  I know. I’m mosdef a schmuck, it’s cool.

But upon further evaluation their are other options folks!  You want more original NON SAMPLED music, you can find with little effort on your part.

Por ejemplo, both naturalismo (w/major shout outs to Ganglians from Sacto!) & gorillavsbear have shared with me this week the new single from the Mantles, another garage rock band from ye ole San Francisco.  They’ve got a very retro & psychedelic sound.  One could argue that it’s once again taking a sound from the past & making it new again?  I’ll have to chew on that…
